Jerry had always dreamed of being the opposite of what he was: a fat, ugly, loser. It's not in-till after a 24 hour vampire movie marathon dose he believe he's found a solution. To be bitten by a vampire himself... unfortunately no one told Jerry being a vampire was nothing but ugly.
